- IOC Expert for the program of preparation of the city (City Operations) at the Olympic Games
- Creator of the proposal to host an Expo Universal and Director of the bid committee Expo Milano 2015 until the election, which occurred March 31, 2008

Lecturer in Tourism Management at the Bocconi University, he previously held the position of official at the Chamber of Commerce of Milan and, in 1993, he became an official of the European Commission, where he served, until 2001, as coordinator of the Structural Funds interventions in north-central Italy under the Directorate for Regional Policy.
